Mature crickets and locusts have a very hard shell, the nymphs however have a much softer body. Generally we feed immature crickets and locusts because of this, as well as the fact that both species get far too large for young dragons.
You are so smart! :wink: I too like the feed to the nymph of any insects for this reason and plus it's easier to digest so your bearded can get more nutrients from it.
