I'm looking for some tank enrichment suggestions for a disabled bearded dragon who is living alone for the first time in four years. He lived alone for the first six months of his life and then due to a specific set of circumstances I had to house a female with him. They were closely monitored, both grew and behaved as normal, no signs of dominance issues, and he was unable to breed her because of his disability etc. This thread isn't about why they were living together, and I will not be putting him with another dragon now that she's passed away, as their situation was unique and out of necessity.
Anyway, my female passed away a couple of days ago as she (I suspect) fell from her log and was unable to get up off her back. As my male is disabled and has trouble moving around I have become paranoid and removed all the logs for now. I don't want the same thing to happen to him, as neither of them had ever had an issue climbing them before, but she was perfectly healthy and still had this accident I'm looking for enrichment ideas now that his tank mate and climbing logs have been removed. He has his stone slab, food bowl, some cat toy balls that jingle, and a hide with microfibre blanket inside, but it doesn't feel like enough. Also he's normally a very good eater, will go for anything I show him, but over the last few days has been refusing food. I know they are able to go a while without food but it's out of character for him, so any advice on help with that too would be appreciated.
Inside the tank I can't think of a whole lot. Just give him a variety of UVB and heat options that he can easily move between. Perhaps putting up a photo background would be nice. They like to watch the action of their humans so having his tank in a relatively busy room might be good. If you can take him out of the tank he may enjoy time sitting in a window sill looking outside.
