Need Advice!

So my beardie lucifer loves his Dubai roaches and usually my shipments have come through no problem and I always order with enough time before I run out. I placed the order and paid for the usual 2 day shipping just to make sure they came alive. The day I placed the order I had enough feeders to last about 2 weeks. Well Fedex is having problems and my shipment has been delayed for the last 5 days in Ohio and they do not have an estimation of when they will get the shipments moving again. I can almost guarantee at this point that the dubais are dead. Ive been in contact with the shipper and they are happy to send out a replacement shipment this coming monday but they need me to receive this shipment first to confirm that they are DOA like we expect them to be. This is my current problem, I have been to all pet stores or have called all pet stores within 100 miles of where I live and there are no crickets, dubai roaches, or black fly larvae (his second fav). Petsmart does have mealworms but I know they are not good for beardies. He does eat his veggies daily and he loves them but I am concerned about him going without his protein if I cannot find any alternative. I am hesitant to order from anywhere else as with the weather there might be more delays and they might not arrive either. Does anyone have any suggestion?

Who are you getting them from? There are many places that are shipping now -- have you tried www.dubiaroaches.com or www.reptilianarts.com www.mulberryfarms.com has BSFL and roaches and it looks like they are shipping on the 22nd-- reptilian arts has a claimer on their website -- you can always call your post office and have them hold the insects for you and you go pick them up

A week or so without feeders isn't the end of the world, he can always eat salads too

Mealworms aren't a bad insect IMO. And they definitely are not a bad choice when there are no other choices lol. Just because they aren't perfect, doesn't make them "not good"

FWIW, I wrote up a thread on my thoughts on mealworms if you are so inclined to read it. May or may not change your mind on them.

I have a order coming from ABDragons and a pending order from Symton for BSFL both on a hold for pick up. These are the ones I usually use. Looks like my Dubai shipment is finally on the move after bouncing around Ohio to 2 places and a week worth the delays for some reason it is now in Memphis which is unfortunately the wrong direction but hopefully that means it will be here soon so can get the new one sent out.

I will check out the sites that you suggested and see if i can get some 2 day shipped here. I also found out there is a reptile rescue in a city about 2 hours from here and they have extra feeders for sale according to their page so reached out to them just waiting on a reply. Hopefully the weather will level out soon everywhere so things start to go smoothly again.

Tried to order from DubiaRoaches.com and their site didn't have a order button so reached out to support and got a email back and they said right now they are not taking orders due to having a backlog of hundreds of orders due to a LIVES embargo USPS has placed on live shipments. Just wanted to post incase others are trying to order from them and are struggling.

Mulberry farms had a bunch of orders returned to them mine being one- the post office in a different town from where they ship out sent me an email saying to come pick.up my order - they are in CA and I am in MN- I was like ummm no- all orders that had shipped w/ no guarantee were sent back they repackaged and sent w/ No live insect sticker- so they will go thru now- what a mess everywhere
