I just want to know how often I should feed my bearded dragon?
I feed her fresh veggies and fruit everyday, should I be feeding her less?
I add about 5 calcium dusted crickets in her meal everyday, should I only give her crickets a few times a week?
This is somewhat sparked by my friend who said I was going to kill her from feeding her too much because her boyfriend fed his dragon once a week, which just doesn't sound like something my Sagura` would approve of too much, she loves her food! He also kept the tank at 75 degrees, which from everything I read sounds like that's just way too cold for them. I keep my tank at 85-90 and her basking area at 90-100.
So if you have a few moments just respond and let me know if I need to be doing something different, because the way her boyfriend raised his beardie just seems a little lacking for a happy lizard. So I want advice from people who like to spoil their lizards, but just enough on the healthy side.
Oh and any suggestions on how to get her to drink more water? I was thinking of putting her veggies and fruit in a water dish so her food floats and looks more attractive and so that her food absorbs the water.
Firstly, how old is she? The amount she should be fed will be based on her age.... but regardless of age she should be offered fresh salad daily. Are you bathing her and how often? Some wont take oral fluids but they do absorb water through their skin and vent when bathing
