I just bought a beardy about 5 inches including tail yesterday, he/she is living in a 30 gallon tank, is that too big/small? I feed him/her strawberrys and kiwis, and crickets [ so far he/she hasn't ate any ] but I gave her 2 silkworms the other day and she seemed to love it!
Its a female? That's what I was hoping for
She's more than what i expected in a good way
I loveee her color, I can't stop looking at her body [ not in a perverted way  ] but it amazes me so much on how smart she is and how smart beardies are in general.
Today, she hasn't ate a thing, I tried feeding her crickets, but she didn't try going for them. But the other day I fed her 2 silkworms about 3 hours after I got her from the pet store and she ate them fine, and I picked her up about 4 hours later, and she didn't seem to be as scared as usual, I think shes use to me now
I think I should make silkworms her normal diet.
Pro: There 3-4 times more nutritious than crickets
Con: She won't be able to exercise as much when eating a silkworm.
As for crickets,
Pro: Great for her to run after as an exercise and a great diet, and I love hearing the cricket noises, it helps me sleep easier.
Con: They smell! and everytime I try to pick some out, I'm too afraid to touch them so I have to try my best to pick them out with a cup
I wouldn't really hold her/him for another week, she's under a lot of strees, and holding her/him will just make it worse. Wait a minute I'm just GEUSSING it's a girl

She seems to be fine when I'm holding her, I love holding her when I'm walking around the house
I always place her on my shoulder when I walk around, but when I'm sitting, I place her on my index finger and rub her chin [ she seems to love it ]
What if she falls asleep when she's on my hand or on my shoulder? She tends to do that alot, is that a bad sign that shes bored of me or something?
Ahh I hope shes a girl, girls lay eggs yearly even if they don't mate right? I think I read that somewhere, I hope its true, so I can get ready otherwise
I was planning on taking her to Orange county with me tomorrow. It's an hour drive to get there. But I think she's too young and too stressed out at this point.
Is it okay to take her places at this age for her?
Well if she seem to be ok with you holding her it should be fine. Females can lay eggs without a male, but their infirtle, which mean they can't hatch. Breeding is VERY hard, and can take a lot of work for the female, and the babies, each baby will need plenty of food, and the silky will need lots of calcium or she will have weak bones, and this can be VERy risky with her laying the eggs. But I'm getting a little off topic here  I think she would be under alot of strees, and I can tell she's already under stress because she's not really eating too much so I would have to say don't take her with you. Later on you could, but she's still a very small baby so you can't do much traveling.

I never knew that, the owner told me I need to add a pinch of the pink calcium bottle every feeding time and this blue container once every week, I guess I have to do it to my silkworms too? It seems impossible! Since the silkworms are so fragile, they'd probably be squished from putting too much pressure during the shaking process
Sad to hear I can't take her, but I also feel bad for removing her from her family filled with baby beardies.
I guess I'll give her a few weeks/month(s)
You should only give the females as much calcium as they need when their gravid not in everyday feedings. With silkies you can just put them in the bowl, and sprinkle it on them, because they are VERY squishy! I don't know what pink calcium you were talking about, is that what you using?

Aw, he/she's a cutie! Nice colours. Falling asleep on you is actually a really good bonding thing. It means she's comfortable with you! Check out this site for other feeding ideas: http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html
