My name is Payton and I got a bearded dragon about 2 weeks ago and I wanted to show everyone. I named him 2 Chainz (yes like the rapper). I have an inside joke with my friends and decided to name my awesome dragon that. I did not sex him yet because he is still young (shooting for a boy). If he turns into being a she, I will rename him Rhionce. I got him at 7 weeks old and he is now 9 weeks. He was around 7 1/2 inches and today he is pushing across the 9 inch mark. He has grown a lot in the 2 weeks I have had him. He is such a photogenic dragon and he is very spoiled. He is always happy and laid back. I currently feed him crickets and collard greens. I will be breeding and feeding him silkworms here shortly. I wanted to have a Dubia Roach colony, but I live in Florida and it is illegal to have or buy dubia roaches due to the fact of our warm climate if some were to escape, they could easily survive and breed. We all know how easy it is to get a roach colony of 1000... Here are some pictures of him! Enjoy!
Here is an update of him. I am up in Michigan on vacation and my girlfriend is watching him and sent me these pictures. This is him during his first shed and I am missing it D: LOL. We had a breeder look at some pictures of the little guy and asked how big he was. He is telling us that it is nearly impossible for a dragon to be 10 weeks old and 10 inches long. He told us he may be around the 4 month mark. This does make sense. People post pictures of there little ones at 10 weeks old and are like 7 to 8 inches. So the pet store I got him from must have ben unsure how old he was... But they bred him? I may have gotten an employee who just didn't specialize in dragons? But here he is!
She was telling me how he loves to see himself in the mirror! How cute
Most pet stores sell their beardies at 2-3 weeks old and don't want to admit to the actual age. Usually 8" is about 2 months old. My female was 10.5" at 3 months old. My male was 10" at 2.5 months. Granted not all beardies grow at the same rate, but that should give you a better idea of your babies age.

Thanks for your input. I believe I just had a lady who didn't specialize in the reptiles. She just reached in and got him for me I did talk to an employee who is the one that bred the dragons, and he said he was about 8 or 9 weeks old. So that does make sense. But I guess he is part hypo. I need to do more research on the morphs and what not
He / she is SO incredibly beautiful.. im jealous! Where did you get him? I wish I could have more than one dragon. I would have one of every color morph!

I got him from a mom and pop pet shop that an employee breeds all of there dragons. I got this leatherback/hypo for only $40! When I went to the dragon cage he jumped off his basking spot and right to the glass to check me out and I knew he was the one to get. It was like he picked me or something. Very strange. But I am just in Michigan for a few more days then I will be able to see him again. He is getting really big and it stinks that I missed his first shed (since I had him). But there will be more. I miss my little guy. Everyone makes fun of me because I love a "lizard". I tell people "Hey, he is my precious little dragon!" Haha!
I know what you mean. They are our babies. When we first got Redrock we were told that based on how long they had them her and Sandstone were about 4 months old. They both measured about 11" long the day after we'd gotten them.

No one but the lovely people here understand how I adore my lizards. I had an outrageous vet bill recently for my uromastyx.. and my friends are like.. "For a lizard?". Yes for a lizard!! People would do it for a dog! I even paid a ridiculous vet bill trying to save a $12 hamster once. I love all my pets.
