I don't have a name yet. He/she hatched on June 15th, so it's 30 days old. I met the parents and siblings the day I bought him. The mother is a Red Citrus and the father is a Sandfire. They both were very healthy and gorgeous animals.
This is my first beardie, I got him 2 days ago and he has a great appetite for greens. He gets Turnip and Dandelion greens with a couple of bits of red and yellow bellpepper. He also eaten quite a few small crickets since bringing him home as well.
I'm debating whether or not to put a water dish in the enclosure because I live in Southeast Texas, not far from the Gulf Coast and it's pretty humid here. Also in the room he is in I have 3 aquariums so it's a humid room.
Should I just bathe him daily instead of keeping a water dish in his enclosure?
I agree, bathe him regularly (every couple of days), don't necessarily add water. What I do for water aside from bathing is that I'll mix a little water with his greens so that they stay moist all day.
I haven't tried peppers with mine yet, maybe I'll give that a shot today.
Is his bath time at least 20 minutes long? If he enjoys it .. leave him in for 20-30 minutes. It will really help not just with keeping him hydrated.. but because babies shed sooo often.. it will help with that too.
