My dragon prefers vegetables when they are dried up

I don't understand. Se refuses to eat fresh veggies but this morning he walks past my fresh veggies and eat a dried up piece of veggie from days ago. I have noticed he has done this before so I am wondering. Do dried up pieces of collard greens and turnip greens have the same nutritional value as fresh ones? Just to clarify I don't buy already tried veggies these are freshly cut vegetables. He refuses to eat the fresh ones so eventually they dry up and become crunchy because of the heat inside the enclosure

That's actually pretty common. I don't know if they like the texture better or what. As far as nutrition, cooking kills nutrients I think the dried ones still probably have most or all of the nutritional value.

About the only "nutrient" missing from the dried up veggies is water. But if he is really well hydrated, that may be his way of refusing more water because hes had enough.

I mean today he ate a lot of veggies but it was only when i brought the bowl to him and moved the veggies around with my finger. I guess he likes the movement cause he got really interested in them and ate them right up.

That's a good start 🙂 hopefully soon he'll just eat them on his own .

My mother reminded me the other day that there aren't refrigerators outside in their natural habitat lol

In other words, veggies aren't straight from the refrigerator

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
