Ok I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what could be up with my dragon?
She's a year and 10 months old and in the past 2 days has driven me insane! Out of no where, she has started running around her tank like a woman possessed and when I get her out she runs everywhere!
She is eating as normal and is not de hydrated and is pooing normally also. She is a really good colour and does seem quite happy when running around! She has also been sleeping fine.
Anyone have any ideas about this behaviour? Or maybe she's just a bit hyper?!
I actually took her to the vet earlier as I was worried she might be gravid and I wasn't prepared, but he couldn't feel any eggs at all and said she seems fit and healthy so I think she's just crazy!
My beardie has gone crazy, too. It's not egg related for Chase, since he's a manly man beardie.
He's acting just like yours. I brought him out earlier and he jumped on me & started to eat my hair. i made him stop and he ran around on the couch for about 2 minuets and head bobbed (I think at the lamp?).
I think our beardies are looking for mates so they can spread their wild oats.
Oh really? Well yeah Molly is still acting up! I keep feeling her tummy but I can't feel any eggs at all. I was thinking of buying some sans and making a nesting box just incase?
Is this typical behavior if they are looking for a mate then? When does it stop as I'm not getting her one?!
Tasty Treat does this before we can see any eggs. that's how I know she is going to go gravid soon.
I think it is that they want to find a mate and are also looking for a good area to lay eggs.
I just take her our of the tank and put her on the floor and she takes off! she runs all over every inch of the apartment, under things, behind things, over us.
She also runs up to Mr Dargon's tank and tries to get by him.

Yeah Molly does exactly that when I get her out, she's into everything and won't stay still! I got her to sit quiet by the window for an hour yesterday but that was it! so it's likely she might be gravid soon, when is a good time to get a nesting box for her, should i do it now or wait until I can feel eggs?
Not to steal the thread, but does my "looking for a mate" theory for Chase sound about right, since he obviously can't lay eggs?
He's actually chilled out a bit the last few days, though. I wonder if his behaviour was sparked by the "romance" in the turtle tank between House and Cuddy.
