is this an exceptable chart to feed and care for your beardie? @KarrieRee @xp29 @NickAVD
Remind me of the age please? The carrots should not be fed to both the roaches and dragon - one or the other please -too much Vitamin A and he will poop orange poop-- as long as the dragon is getting a variety of diet hes good - I would offer different insects and worms - BSFL or silk worms - super worms - horn worms - wax worms sparingly they are very fatty- butter worms found on joshsfrogs.com website - mealworms - if hes eating all his salads you dont really need to feed the vitamins - hes going to get his vitamins in the variety of veggies - babies need the vitamins as they dont eat their salads like they should so that would be up to one year unless hes still not eating all his salads then its often recommended that you still dust the insects w/ them

Why cant you order on line? He should be getting the D3 5 x per week ONCE per feeding dusted lightly on his insects- when he turns a year old the insects will go to 2-3 times per week and the D3 once per week w/ regular calcium w / no phosphate the other times per week -

If you have a young dragon (up to a year), I would sprinkle calcium once a day (every day), vitamins can be given twice a week if he does not eat greens well. According to your schedule, he will receive vitamins two days in a row on Saturday and Sunday, it is better to increase the interval between them. I agree with @KarrieRee, if possible, diversify his menu of insects.

As long as he is eating his salads that is great -- a lot of dragons are terrible about eating their veggies so w/ that being said keep doing the calcium D3 ONCE per feeding 5 x per week till he is one year old- the UVB should be in the tank for a fine screen or screen off you want it unobstructed for the fine screen 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor piece-- if its a wide hole type it can stay on the screen w/ basking decor 8-10 inches directly underneath it -- posting a website for nutrition - ignore the kale info its outdated and a great staple feeder Nutrition Content

First of all, sprinkle the insects with calcium once a day, every day. Five times a week calcium with D3 and 2 times a week regular calcium. The insects should not look like a donut.
I would include hornworms in the diet a couple of times a week, this will help with the hydration of your dragon. Hornworms should be offered in addition to the main insects, not instead of them.
If your dragon eats greens, then vitamins can be reduced to once a week.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
