I have a 2 year old bearded dragon, and just about 3 days ago I noticed that he has a really swollen foot. I tried lightly squeezing it and it seems pretty hard. He hasn’t shown any signs of discomfort, he still runs around and moves it a lot, but I’m still worried because I know they’re really resilient animals. I should also add that ever since winter he hasn’t been eating the same. He’s always had such a large appetite, but now he even refuses his favorite snack, watermelon! I did some research and found some possible causes; MBD, Gout, stuckshed. I’ve been giving him warm baths for 10 mins everyday to see if it reduces the swelling, I even tried leaving chamomile tea bags in since they are a natural deflammatory medicine. Im just very worried, hes still as active and responsive as hes always been, but the swelling and the loss of appetite really concern me ??
Yep and now we need for AHBD or Tracie to look at it and see what they think ---- to me it doesnt look to bad but I am no expert --- lack of appetite ? Lets go over his lighting -- what are you using for a UVB where in the tank is it top of screen or inside the tank -- tube or coil how old is it? Basking temps? what are they and how are you taking them? No stick ons they are inaccurate --- this all effects their eating --- could be just the weather - my 9 month old is not eating as much or basking as much the last week --- my 2 yr old is doing the same no change for him ---

The coloring matches the rest of the scales. It's possibly swelling from an injury, but they also swell up a little when they are about to shed so I'd keep an eye out for signs of shed in the area. If that's the case, the swelling should go back down once the skin has loosened and shed.
