I have two beardies and they are very attached to each other. They are not related in any way. So the female layed 21 eggs. I moved them out of sand to small plastic container that has molds for eggs and placed them in incubator. But from yesterday to this morning the eggs started to dry. What can I do to save those eggs?

Are you sure they are fertile?
They should be in vermiculite or something similar to keep them from dehydrating. They need to be in contact with it. Don't bury them in it though. Put a layer down and make an impression with your thumb to set them in.
The media should be moist enough to clump when squeezed but you should not be able to squeeze water out of it.

Those are infertile and even if they were fertile they would be dead. They are completely sunken in and dehydrated. Fertile eggs would not look like that. At most they would develop dents but these are dried out and hardened.

Thank you. I kinda expected it just by their look. This is a second time she layed eggs but the first time it was totally unexpected and it failed as I didn't know what should be really done and tryed to make it by watching some videos but it didn't really work out. Thank you for the message. Both of you😄

If the dragons are housed together, they more than likely were fertilized eggs, but they are 100% dead at this point.

Make sure you keep up with the extra food, hydration, and calcium for your girl, especially if this is clutch number two in a short time span.

If you are keen on hatching a clutch, make sure you have your incubator set up and ready before the eggs are here :)

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
