My beardy Lenny is very very active. I’ve notice just the past week his front forearm is a little swollen. He has no sores like gout. It doesn’t seem to be causing any pain he’s still running Around as much as ever and let’s me touch it with out getting angry or showing signs of pain he still does all his normal activies. Any thoughts ???? I was thinking a sprain maybe ??
That does look pretty swollen! It just cropped up?
Do you leave any crickets in the tank overnight that could have possibly bitten him?
I would really watch that to be sure it doesn't get worse in case it is an infection or early
symptoms of gout possibly.
Are any other fingers, toes, etc having trouble?
We can review your tank setup with you such as your UVB lights, supplementation, temperatures,
along with diet so we can be sure everything is all correct.
No fingers are having any issues. Does not seem to bother him at all. And I’ve check him all over for gout sores so I’m not thinking it’s that. He’s a real dare devil I’ve had to change his set up a a lot so he’d stop jumping. And I feed him in a seperate tank when feeding him crickets or anything for that matter
That’s what I researched first but said there would be sores involved and very painful for him but none of that is apparent and definitely has no sores. Still showing no signs of pain.
There is a chance there's an abscess in there or perhaps the dragon has had an accident and injured the lower arm somehow.
I think a visit to a reptile vet is warranted , they can take an Xray and determine if there is a break or if no break, or dislocation ( in the elbow ) , while the dragon is still under take a small needle aspiration the contents and if pus is found drain it and perhaps debride the tissues that were infected.
