i fed Archer at his usual time before i left to run some errands, and when i got back i saw he had pooped, and next to it looked like vomit. at least i think it was vomit: it's a bundle of half digested greens (he had some kale earlier, but i have collards in there now) and reptiworms. could it be that he over ate?
he's eating his second meal right now and seems to be okay, like his appetite wasn't affected by vomiting earlier. i'm going to keep an eye on him of course, but should i be worried? i didn't know reptiles could vomit...
I have had my female vomit in the past, 3 times in her whole life so far. I have always attributed this with eating too fast or too much. Any answers you get I am curious too.
Sorry to hear your little one got sick. Yes, unfortunately they can vomit. It could have just been something that did not agree with him or yes, eating too much too quickly. Sometimes bad feeders can cause an upset stomach as well. Take it easy on the feeders for now, just to make sure he is keeping them down.
Just keep a close eye on him and bathe or offer water via syringe or dropper. Vomitting can lead to dehydration if done repeatedly.
What are his temps in basking and coolside?
What type thermometer are you using to take temps?
