Just now my beastie was in his basking area and was standing on his hind legs and just fell off the stick. He was hanging on with his back legs and jumped off. He jumps alot. At the store the guy asked me if i wanted to hold him and i said sure. When he was about to hand it to me he jumped right out of his hands.
No worries this is what the lttle beast like to do.
My newest 4 months old now has finally become comfortable with us
And settled down.
up to about 3 weeks ago he did not want to be handled and would jump
every chance he got.
We have finally got him to gain our trust (by persistant handling) and now he loves
to go outside on walkabouts weather permittimg (he likes watching the birds and squirrel's while catching the natrul rays .
He'll lay on our legs and bask but if a crow or something makes a loud noise and scares him he will run up our bodies to face level and wants protection.
Beardie Dragons you got to love them.
Tamimg will get you frustated and just about time you are ready to give up they will come around.
Fatboy was 3 yrs old we bought him at 2 months old and 7 inches long he was gentle from first day we brought him home.
TE-BOY was 2 weeks old and 4 inches .He has been a terrorist since purchased up to 3 weeks ago. :x
I did not beleive we would ever calm him down.
Now he is the coolest little reptile money can buy

Just last night my lil guy jumped from his hammock to the top part of his tank where the covering I used for the sides stops at. He hung on there for a few and jumped halfway across the tank to get a cricket! I think it is normal beardie behavior. It makes me wonder, however, that this might be a sign of needing more space? Any input on that?
