and i will take him to vet tomorrow
Hi there, how long ago was this ? After a few hours he would act sick IF he's going to be sick. I doubt that it will really affect him though, but just keep an eye out to see if he starts acting sick, gaping, trying to vomit, hard time breathing, etc.
The only thing you COULD do if he's had a toxic amount would e get him some activated carcoal from a vet or a drug store and give him a small amount. The charcoal absorbs any toxin + allows it to pass through the animal without the toxin hurting them.
If you're really worried, take hi to a vet right away, but I doubt he will get sick.
In the meantime, wipe the Vicks off, clean it well so there's not even any fumes. The fumes might even harm the crickets if exposed long enough.

People used to put Vaseline around the top edges of large bins that had hissing roaches in since they can crawl but would be deterred from going past the Vaseline. The Vicks was probably use to keep the crickets from trying to escape.
