had bought two different uvb lights for him and turns out they suck and just order a new reptisun 10.0 one w a fixture. He’s been sleeping a lot. Doesn’t really like crickets. He eats small super worms and I gave him like 2 was worms as a treat today. His tail was shedding so I gave him a bath last nice and it cam
e off. He hasn’t been very active. Very sleepy. I just got him last Tuesday. He has a 40 gallon tank. And a 75 or a100 watt basking bulb. He has a hide and branches to chimb on to bask. Also made him a Bush this in out of fake flowers and leaves. He usually poops on them and basks there. I mist him w water a couple times a day. He was eating kale and dandelion greens the first few days. Hasn’t eaten much lately. He poops regularly. Idk what’s wrong w his eye. His new uvb light should be in tomorrow or Friday. Just have a heat lamp until I get it. Don’t want those other ones to mess him up even more. And I can pick him up and he like just falls asleep. Idk what to do. Please help.
At his age he probably shouldn't be falling asleep so often like that. What are the surface temps around your tank? Have you tried taking him outside to sit on your lap and get some natural sunlight. That might perk him up a bit. Instead of supers I would offer black soldier fly larvae if he doesn't like crickets. They are a bit healthier and might be easier for him to digest since they're soft.

I’m going to be ordering some dubia roaches from Rainbow Mealworms soon. His basking area is about 97 Fahrenheit and the cool side is around 84 degrees. I’m going to add another light or get a higher voltage light to raise the basking area temperature a bit. He is actually just shedding like crazy right now. I left for work at 12 and just got back(6:30pm) and he is now shedding on all of his legs and on the top of his head and by the eye that was closed. Hopefully that’s why it’s been closed for two days! And probably why he’s been so tired.
That actually explains a lot. The eye closing may have been irritation from the shed and the lethargic behavior may have been a grumpy mood from the shed. I hope that's all it was. If so, he should return to normal after he's done. Good idea to try and tweak the temps a bit. If he is seeking the basking site a lot then bringing it up a few degrees is good. If he starts avoiding the direct basking area then you can bring it back down a bit. The 100-110 guideline is a starting point and you want to adjust based on what his reactions are.

He’s almost done shedding. Like two small pieces left. Still won’t eat much though. I have to adjust the temp in the basking area and his uvb light is coming in tomorrow
