I took my bearded dragon to the vet a week ago turns out he has a parasite infection I got the medicine for him and he’s almost done with treatment. But he will not eat anything, I know this medication can sometimes mess with their

appetite. Is there anything I can buy that way I can syringe feed him to keep his weight maintained? I have a scale coming in the mail tomorrow. Google says baby food is not good for them but you can make your own at home. Is there some sort of super food I can get That will help get him back to normal weight and appetite?

Is that what he looks like right now or has he lost weight ? In that pic his weight looks good, he has a beardie belly going on . You can try some probiotics or just wait for his appetite to return, it shouldn't be too long.

yes that is what he looks like now. I have a scale coming in the mail from amazon so I can keep track of his weight. He just won’t touch food. I’m gonna try tonight to get a different veggie but insects are hard to find in stores so I have to order some thing like soldier fly larvae or something

Please start ordering on line -- they are cheaper and more reliable
you can get some BSFL or nutri grubs horn worms and roaches which are a better feeder and easier to keep - just set up a 10 gallon aquarium or tote feed them stuff you feed the dragon they arent much on greens but other stuff like squash raw sweet potato carrots dont feed the dragon carrots tho to much Vit A - fruit--- along w/ dubia food and dubia water crystals I usually order 200 at a time those will go farther than having to rely on the pet stores - super worms you can get from here Fluker Farms - Order Live Crickets, Mealworms, Superworms they have large superworms only and they are real nice worms - you will need a container to put them in w/ a lid w / holes -- feed them food (meal worm bran) along w/ carrots for hydration - I think people feed them potatos too- I have saved my silk worm containers that I have ordered in the past and just washed them out -

I ordered some medium dubia roaches. Started small to see if he will even eat them. I will order superworms soon. I can’t believe how cheap it is to get them online as opposed to the store!!

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
