Hi I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions on getting my baby beardie to eat anything but crickets? I bought some phoenix worms a little while ago and he wont touch them. He is 8 weeks old, I've been trying to give him a variety of foods but he wont eat anything but the crickets. thank you in advance for any suggestions ^^
I would try a small touch of "tough love". To get my guy to eat some veggies - at 8 weekes it is not as critical as when they get older, I would feed my guy his veggies in the a.m., before he got any crickets. He would eat two or three pieces some days. Now I actually saw him standing at his salad dish eating. Also I have read here a really good suggestion; if you gut load your crickets with fresh greens he will get them this way.
Yeah hes a little spoiled tho he will run to his food dish and stare at everything in it, and if there is no crickets hell just wait until I go over to his cage and give him some. Its amazing how smart they are! haha

if you havent had him very long i wouldnt worry about him eating other things. you dont want to overwhelm him by getting to eat loads of other things if you havent had him long
Ok yeah we haven't had him too long but we already switched his food, the people we got him from were feeding him lettuce and mealworms. He had never had a cricket before. He seems to like collard greens a lot guess we got lucky there!
