What uvb are you using (coil/tube, brand etc. ), what temperature is the basking spot and other side of the tank, and how are you taking the temperature (probe thermometer or stick ons)? Also what substrate is he on? The dimension of your tank, the distance from basking spot to uvb also matters. For a 4 months old he should be eating and generally moving around more.
