She started laying an hour ago. She has layed 10. She has not been anywhere near another beardie for at least 6 weeks. She was scratching at the tile substrate the last few days. She seems to be laying fine without a box of sand etc.......I want to collect them and try to hatch them if possible.

Should I just let her keep laying as is? I don't have any materials to make a place right now for her to burythrm. I am prepar u no an incubator though.

Hello,

If she is content laying where she is then there is no need to build a lay box for her right now. Just let her go ahead & finish laying if she has more to lay. Is she still scratching around in her tank on her tile too?
Be sure to give her extra calcium since fertile eggs really take a lot out of them.
How is she looking now, are her colors good?

Her color looks fine. She still has some inside, I can see the bumps. No more sctatching. Some eggs look really whit and some are more yellow. They seem to look whiter after a few minutes. Do I have minutes or hours to get them in vermiculite and heated?

Have you raised hatchlings before? It takes a large amount of space and food and you are unlikely to make money from the babies. If you are aware of the above and think you can find suitable homes them great (and excuse me if you are well aware of the above, but many people try breeding dragons without appreciating the costs and time involved)

I have not hatched anything before. I did not plan on doing so either.I adopted her from a woman who was failing to give her great care, and she only had her a few months at most. Her history is unknown to me. I have set up a roach colony so feeding them should be no big deal. There is a reptile store in town who may not buy them, but I could certainly give them away if need be. Oh yeah, and keep the best looking one if my wife lets me!

Hatchlings need tiny food and a huge amount so I'm not sure your colony will work. Also when giving dragons away it's very easy for people to want them as they are free, but not be fully invested. I'm not trying to discourage for the sake of it, if you think the eggs have been fertilised there is no reason why you need to incubate all ten if you Just want to raise one or two.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
