So I have had my 6-7 month old Beardie in a 20 long since she was a baby. I know that's bad but I was having something built and it took longer than expected. But I always took her out so basically she only slept in there. But I finally have Her new cage built. It's pretty large it's 5ft x 2ft x 2ft. And I put her in it and she constantly is looking over the edge looking like she wants to jump out. Anything I can do to make it less stressful for her? I don't like her being unhappy and stressed.
That's a great size for her! She will settle in with time. Do you have a shady/cozy spot for her to hide in so she can feel secure? Having a combination of hides/shade and nice wide basking areas usually helps them settle in but it really varies by individual. Has her appetite declined or is she showing a black beard? If not, she may just be curious about the outside as well. This may be especially true if she is used to being out of the tank and free roaming.
She had a huge meal of crickets and supers yesterday. On these days I call "bug days" I feed her more bugs than usual. I do this a few days out if the week and the rest she's pretty good about eating her greens. She hasn't had any veggies today but she wasn't hesitant to eat the 2 supers I gave her earlier. She usually doesn't show black beard to me but she had been rather sleepy yesterday and today.
That all sounds pretty good. I'd just give her time to settle in. It sounds like she's OK. Real stress would have her acting lethargic and could show loss of appetite or skittish behavior.
