Im a little concerned about Fuzzys movement. Ive been watching a few videos on you tube and other dragons seem to use their back legs a lot more.
Fuzzy hasnt been very active lately so its kinda hard for me to say but he seems to drag himself using his front legs. I dont think ive seen him lift his belly off the floor.
Even when its dinner time an i let the crickets loose he seems to drag himself but the tank is just wooden flooring so maybe quite slippery.
Im going to take him up on the bed later to see if he does better but prob wont conform as hes being super lazy lately.
If this is a brumation thing its really scaring me.
Im also wondering if hes too fat after weighing him today at 7oz then converting it to 198g i did find a site where ppl had added rankins dragon weights an they were like 98g 114g.
Please god hes not too heavy to lift himself up.
Im gonna be in an early grave worrying about this boy ❤

if they are under 12 months they probably shouldn't brumate as they don't have the reserves to survive months without a feed.So up the heat a little (heat mat/cord or CHE) I don't change the timer.
If they are over 12 months then slowly reduce the hours the lights are on about the end of April/ beginning of May by about 10% till you get to an 8 hour day and the heat lamps to 4-5 hours, once they start to sleep cut back again and by the middle of winter you should be able to turn everything off till September and then do it all in reverse.
Also cut back on their food as you cut back on the light/heat. Do not feed them as they approach brumation(the last couple of weeks). If they are in full brumation DO NOT feed them as it will rot in their guts.Leave water out during brumation but no food unless you notice them out quite often and if you feed them leave lights on as they cannot digest without heat

Got to be careful to compare oranges to oranges , or in your case , similarly aged Rankins to get a good idea if Fuzzy is about the right size for his age. Please god hes not too heavy to lift himself up.
