Hello, I woke my bearded dragon up this morning and then went to work a 13hr shift at work and left my bearded dragon with my boyfriend. When I woke my dragon up this morning, I did not notice anything wrong with her mouth but I was in a rush. My boyfriend said he didn’t notice anything wrong until after feeding her crickets. Unfortunately, since I was not there most of the day, none of us know for sure when she developed this problem with her mouth (picture below) but it’s hard to the touch. My boyfriend says it is cricket guts that have dried up. Her mouth was perfectly fine yesterday.. is this mouth rot or does this look more like dried cricket guts? Thanks in advance!!
Sorry, forgot to add: her diet is good, temps, and humidity are good and her appetite is really good. No other signs of mouth rot, still very energetic, no pus, no thick saliva. Just the picture above!
I was going to say if it just appeared suddenly then it's most likely just stuck on there rather than a sign of a problem. I'm glad you got it sorted out =)
