Missing scales???

My bearded dragon used to have 2 scales which I assumed to be stuck shed. It was white and higher than the other scales similar to when he sheds. I noticed today that the two white scales are now gone and in its place are these brown spots. This is what one of the scales USED to look like.

This was taken 4 days ago meaning it came off within these last 4 days. For months I’ve given him lots of baths to try and help get it off but nothing worked and now they’re both suddenly gone. Here’s what they look like now.

Are these scales missing? It looks so and I’m confused as to why. Maybe he scratched them off? Below I’ve attached a photo featuring both of the spots. This is the only place where it’s like this. Anything will help!

Yeah it looks to me like he has scraped them off on something. It should heal ok. You can treat the area with raw unpasteurized honey diluted with water to promote healing.

I have a triple antibiotic ointment from Walgreens. I’m pretty sure I got it solely for him because it was recommended to me a while back on another forum. I haven’t had the chance to use it and honestly forgot if it’s good for him or not. I’m pretty sure I was told to get a Neosporin without painkillers and so this is what I bought. Could I use this instead?

Yup 🙂
I've used it in the past without issues 🙂 and for a similar problem. I had a rescue that had mobility issues and she scraped sores into two feet. I used the same ointment and she healed up just fine.
