Meet our new addition Yoda

Meet Yoda, our new male giant madagascan day gecko (phelsuma madagascariensis grandis) he's a year old.
He's a little shy but seems to be settling in, I spent alot of time today in the reptile room (our bedroom) talking to all the pets and moving slowly so with out further ado here are some of the pics I managed to get

Nick managed to get him to lick some fruit puree off his finger

both yoshi & yoda they are in seperate tanks at the moment, we're not sure when we'll introduce them, but not for a while

Yoda is really cute! Am I right in thinking that Yoda's nose is a bit pointier than Yoshi's? How on earth will you tell them apart once they're cohabiting?

it does kind of look as if Yoda's nose is a bit pointier than Yoshi's

Can you see the bulge on yoshi's neck, thats not because she's chubby those are her calcium sacs, they are alot more prominent in females

They have different markings, on their heads
-Yoshi has a central dot near her nose then a v shape that looks like its made up of 2 blobs/lines, behind that she has 3 dots in a triangle shape
-Yoda his v shape looks to be made up of 3 dots, and has 3 dots in a triangle behind
Dorsally Yoda has slightly more red

also Yoda is younger than Yoshi, I think he may grow some more and be longer than Yoshi
