Meet C.J. (Cactus Jack, because he is such a pri..... prickly)

So I posted about this little guy a bit back. He was bitten by a dog before he came to the reptile shop. He looked to be blind in one eye (but now I'm cautiously optimistic he might get his vision back)
I'm not 100% certain I'll be keeping him. I'm going to work on getting him to the best health possible and getting him tame. They were calling him (not affectionately) little azzhole in the shop. This guy is A HAND FULL. He bites, he hisses, he charges to bite. If you pick him up he actively looks for ways to bite you some more. No one wanted him. I friggen love him though. The agreement with Christina is to rehab him and rehome him. They agreed they would take him back at the shop also at that point.
I don't think that'll happen though, Christina is already getting attached to him
This little guy wasn't brought home with any kind of breeding project in mind. As far as I know he is a standard (although he looks like he might be a color stripe) but knowing he wasn't going to get the care he needed/deserved or the good home he deserves because someone let him get injured and he is scared to death was just not setting well with me. At a minimum I intend to give him a fighting chance but I have a feeling he already found himself a home

P.s. he isn't smiling, he was trying to bite, but I wasn't quick enough to get the pictures of his full "attack"

In person the brown stripes in the middle of his tail are kind of diamond shaped.

Poor little guy. Kudos to you for taking charge of him, if you can't tame him a bit and give him a loving home, I'm not sure who else can!

What's his name? Or are you keeping his "shop name"?

I think he'll stop biting very soon and will be one of your happy dragons!
I'll keep my fingers crossed that his eye will heal as quickly as possible, he's been through a lot and definitely deserves it.

I couldn't agree more.
We honestly wasn't actively looking for or planning on getting another one. If I had of been in the market for another it would have had gentics that compliments my girls. But I knew from talking with the guys at the shop and seeing first hand how people reacted when they got him out for me that he wasn't going to find a home. They told me that lots of people asked to look at him but as soon as he started biting or were told about his eye they didn't want him. A few days ago a woman actually put her hands up defensively and backed away while I was checking on his eye. (Like a little 15 gram lizard is really gonna eat you) honestly seeing her reaction was what convinced me to bring him home.
