I had to take Spyro to the vet last night because he fell, and I got sent home with some oral pain medication for him. I am supposed to give it every 24 hours, and the vet gave him his first dose at 6pm yesterday evening. I work almost every night between 5-8pm, so I won't be able to give it to him. Should I give it to him early, at like 4:45, or should I wait a day and then give it to him at a more convenient time tomorrow? Thanks.
Hope Spyro is doing better. I wouldn't think giving it an hour earlier would make much difference and feel it would be better to do that rather than waiting a day as you wouldn't want him to be real uncomfortable again. That way you could continue to give it to him at 4:45 from then on.
Yeah, if it's not that far apart, set the schedule so you can keep it consistent. You can also call the vet and they should be able to give you advice.
To what drug did they give him?

Thanks, he does seem to be doing better! I did give it to him at 4:45 after calling the vets office and checking, and he is just fine and finally getting some rest. Thanks!
Poor guy, I hope that he is doing better!
The metacam should be fine, being given short term. I hope that it works well for him. I am happy to hear he is getting some rest.
