who feeds there beardy mealworms?
and if you do how many a week?
my little guy loves them.he was having 3 a day as a treat but ive stopped feeding them due to reading about impaction.

Yes. little guys like anything that moves around! Unfortunately, mealworms are not very good nutritionally. If you are going to feed them to him, wait until they've just shed and are paler in colour. They'll do this several times throughout their little lives.
Alternately, try to get some calci-worms. They're also sometimes called Repti-worms or Phoenix worms, but all of these are black soldier fly larvae.
These worms are amazingly nutritious - have the perfect calcium/phosphorus ratio - and they wriggle like mad! If you can get some very small silk or horn worms, include those as well once or twice a week. None of these three worms have any chitin or outer skeleton and will not cause impaction.

yep, I stopped feeding my beardie mealworms, he doesn't like them very much. He will eat one and then not eat any more. Im going to try wax worms next or phoenix worms and see how he likes them. His main staple though is large crickets gut loaded and dusted with lots of veggies.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
