I'm curently feeding my beardie crickets, but I'm want to switch to something easier to feed him. Crickets are always jumping out of my hand and dying on me. I've heard some negative things about mealworms, but I don't know how much of it is true. What's your opinion?
Mealworms have a hard chitin shell that it an impaction risk and they don't really have much nutritional value either. There are much better feeders choices available.
I'd stick to crix. They are high nutrition and if you feed them from an early age your beardie will be more active. Mealworms have no meat and can cause impaction.
I know that a lot of people on here breed and feed their beardies dubia roaches. Once your beardie gets bigger, you could also consider super worms instead of crickets.
