Hi, I am seeking for help and as gout is/was an issue here, hoping you could compare…… I have a four year old beards dragon called Wilson. I am so confused as to whether he has metabolic bone disease, or gout. I would say it started about six months ago. I have had three different opinions off of reptile owners, two of which own reptile shops. All three said MBD (before the X-rays). I have always covered his live food in calcium dust and have tried my best with vegetables. But blueberries would be the only thing he ate without encouragement! His UV lamp is changed every year and is Arcadia FD3P30 D3+ 12-Percent Reptiles Lamp, 30 Watt, 36-inch. The temperature in his tank is 28-30 degrees. Last month (September) I took him back to where I got him from for advice and help, they sold me two solutions (see photos) and advised me to bath him in this diluted with water, every other day. Which I have been doing for about one month. If anything, I feel like his legs have got worse! Monday this week I took him to the vets, they have done X-rays which I have uploaded. The vet said his bone density is ok and she’s sent his X-rays to an exotic specialist, who responded and said possible bone infection?! Or bone tumours? She said it’s an odd one! She didn’t do bloods but is now doing them Friday and has given him a calcium injection. My husband is convinced it’s gout. Also, his tail has always had bumps in the end, since we got him at 10 weeks.
