Nope, didn't overreact. I thought she just got a hair stuck or something, but she's still coughing and is doing it more often now, every minute or two. And our vet wont be in until Monday.

Im literally going to lose my mind with the stress...
Oh man. I feel so bad for you guys and your guys/gals.
If they are all doing it then it must be contagious.
You might want to wash up between handling each of them just in case.

Hello,

Oh dear, so sorry your dragons are having so much trouble. Are
you giving any medications for any of them?
Try to keep the room warmer for them, with the humidity lower to
help out for them.
I hope things get better. Let us know how they are all doing.

Y'all, im really worried about Dreki. They're all on the ceftaz antibiotic (save for Nova, her appointment is tomorrow) but her beard has been black for the last few days, she seems real blah and has pooped out of nowhere tonight and last night. No warning, nothing. And it looked normal, I guess.? It didn't look loose or anything like that.

But she just seems so mopey, she sits/lays in her basking spot and definitely looks like she doesn't feel well, doesnt wanna eat. She ate last Sunday or Monday, might have eaten the day before or something, but only a couple and I got her to eat a hornworm yesterday. But she always loves eating her salad and wont eat it. Its really really stressing me out because Toothless was the same way when we first rushed him to uga and I cant deal with that again. I just can't. Im hoping (as bad as that sounds) that the antibiotic (despite that its supposed to be one thats easier on their stomaches) is upsetting her belly and thats why she's acting this way, because the beard and real mopeyness started around the same time as when she started the injections. She's had two so far, one every three days. I dont know what to do. We've had expense after expense adter expense pile up and can't afford these continuous vet bills like this, im at such a loss of what to do.

Every time I've given meds the stopped eating. That's most likely what's going on with her also. If you can get some none dairy prebiotics in hervit might help.

Hello,

Poor Dreki. I agree with xp29, the antibiotics most of the time really affect their gut flora, thus decrease
the appetite. Getting a probiotic such as a non dairy soy yogurt, or a non dairy acidophiluz, either one
would b very helpful. If her beard is that black she definitely isn't feeling well. Did she black beard before
the antibiotic injections?

She wasn't black boarding and mopey until the injections, then it started shortly after the first one, I believe. Just the coughing. And her eyes look sunken in to me, too. I dont get it. The vet said those meds are easier on their stomachs, but im really hoping thats whats going on. Something is definitely affecting her belly, she pooped in her bed at some point last night or night before. I know she's not feeling well, they have their med appointment today, so im gonna talk to the vet about it.

They said shes loosing weight, like 1.9 to 1.5 all within a weekish.? Options are keep doing the ceftaz, hope she adjusts/doesnt get worse or stop doing them and hope she gets better on her own. She's not really coughing now, except for today. She licked up a huge fuzzball in her carrier and started choking on it so now she's coughing again, but she really doesn't feel well and its worrying me.

Oh my she does look really under the weather 😳 her eye definitely look sunken. Is she taking water for you? meds can dehydrate them also.

Hello,

She definitely doesn't look like she feels very well. Her eyes are too sunken, so please try to get some
oral fluids into her if possible.
I am not sure if you should keep her on the Ceftz or not. It looks like it might be too much for her right
now.
Keep us posted on her.

She definitely does not feel well *at all*. Im getting her to drink now, albeit slowly. She feels bad enough that she wants the water but wont really get to it, I have to sorta guide her head to the water. Im thinking that since she isnt coughing now that maybe she stops the antibiotic. The vet said she went from 1.8 something on last Monday to 1.56 now but when I just weighed her, I got 1.86 so I dont think shes loosing weight that fast, especially since she ate real well last sunday.

She's gone downhill significantly since. She's listless, it looks like she regurgitated in her tank, when i pick her up, she just kinda lolls to the side, just like Toothless did. I ****ing cant lose another one, not this soon

My heart is aching for you, I lost 4 last year so I know exactly where your coming from and how you feel. It gets harder and worse with every one. I nearly stopped keeping them because of it.
I'm wondering in your situation it there is some kind of outside influence happening. Something like food that had something wrong, or a neighbor that sprayed insecticide to near your home, ect. I know you take great care of them so it doesn't make sense why this is happening. And for multiple beardies to show the same sympoms all within a few days. I have trouble believing it's coincidence.

Well, Miko was confirmed with an xray and when Dreki started coughing, we did the antibiotic to be safe, but i think she had a reaction to it because as soon as she started it, she got blackbeard, and just did not feel well at all. The vet said either keep on the shot and hope she adjusts or take her off it and hopes she deals with the uri on her own, basically. She drank some water today and when I went to check on her, I saw some gunk, looked like spit up in her tank and she's doing exactly what toothless did when he was shutting down, the almost coma like state, mouth cracked open and the occasional gasping things.

We haven't let them outside lately because the winter has been cold as hell and its just now getting into the low 70s. I don't know whats going on and I feel like such a failure and don't know if I can keep anymore after this

They said she aspirated on the water. They've got a tube down her and some oxygen going and her heart rate is doing better but we aren't sure how well she's going to do, she's not waking up and her heart rate is 40. And then its going to be more money than we have to do anything else.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
