So, we take Nova back tomorrow for an ultrasound and see if she can have surgery. Her ovaries have to be making follicles (enlarged) with no eggs in her ovaduct in order to be in her best chance of survival for the surgery. Any eggs or no follicles, no surgery. If that is the case, since she's had no more nesting behavior and laid the last clutch really, really well with zero issues, chris wants to ask if we can breed her once. He *really* wants to breed her with Toothless one time. Toofs *really* wants her, he doesn't freak out over the other girls like he does Nova. He's had his eye on her for a long time. so, if the vet does say it's okay, I had some questions. Is it as dangerous/violent for the females as I've heard.? Like, are they really at a high risk of getting hurt.? I've seen some videos but they seem kinda straightforward but I've had people tell me it can get bloody and the girls can get real hurt. Also, Google says they need to be housed together for a week to ensure they mated; surely not.? Right.? I mean, logic tells me they'd fight.??
Can someone give me insight on breeding, what it's like, how to make it the best experience for her possible and how to prevent her from getting hurt. As payment, here are some photos of Miko slithering off her hide and freezing in a "if I don't move, they can't see me" fashion. I promise you, Miko-san... i see you.
