Thanks for sharing! For those of you interested in the "Perchten", here is more about where the tradition comes from, in English:
(They say something about the "Schönpercht", the "beautiful" one. It's not really pretty, it would fit very well a Halloween theme. Looks often like a witch, elderly princess (female), or a king, watchmaker or hunter for the male version. Always with a wooden mask.)Perchta - Wikipedia

I've attached photos of our Christmas decoration. On the second photo, there is a mix of things from different cultures, like a German advent calendar and Bavarian wooden stars, a Chilean version of the Santa Claus, a Moroccan lantern (that one I just bought in the Souk (bazar) while I was on a business trip to Marrakech) and a few things bought while we lived in the US.
They also exist in the form of pine trees. Or a complete nativity scene made that way, lanterns. Bark is left, and they are on purpose not made too perfect - never whimsical. Thanks for sharing!
I've never seen wooden stars like these. Do these stars symbolize anything?
I like that a lot.For those of you interested in the "Perchten", here is more about where the tradition comes from, in English:

On the second photo, there is a mix of things from different cultures, like a few things from Germany like the advent calendar, brass angel (it was made in the DDR while it still existed - according to relatives one of the few really nice things one could buy there) and wooden stars (from Bavaria); a Chilean version of the Santa Claus "Viejito Pascuero", a Moroccan lantern (that one I just bought in the Souk (bazar) while I was on a business trip to Marrakech) and a few things bought while we lived in the US like a Santa Claus star.

So, as promised, I'm sharing some photos.
