My dragon eats and eats but has barely been pooing. This has been going on for a months now. Usually I come home and there's just the white urates but no good solid coils  like he used to make almost daily. Hes almost 2 years old and eats mostly dandelion greens. I just started a dubia colony to beef up his insect intake. Hes fat and healthy but I just dont see how he could consume food on a regular basis and not produce waste. Im talkin weeks without going. Anyone deal with this before?

Hello :) I would change to a different green. Collard greens, mustard greens, and turnip greens are the best ones. Weeks without going is not very normal. My female goes about 2-3 times a week and she is almost a year old. What is your basking temp? What brand of UVB are you using?

I switch between collards and dandelions and ive never had a problem he loves both and both are very good for him. His temps are about 95 and his uvb is a reptiglo 10. I used to use the reptisun but they dont make it anymore.

He eats and eats but I dont understand where its all going. Its weird. :?

The reptiglo is bad. I would get rid of it. It can cause eye problems. They still make the reptisun most of us use it. You can order it online.

I plan on going back for sure! Whats the difference? Why is it bad by the way?

Ive changed his lights to a powersun and a reptisun. I finally found a place that stocks them so hes back to his good lighting. Theres no change in his bathroom issues though. He eats lots but hardly poos and when he does its almost all water with a small bit of little "flake like" chunks and hard urates.

Hes fat and healthy and not dehydrated so im puzzled. It all started in the fall when he all of a sudden gave up crickets cold turkey and slowed down for brumation.

Also, ive noticed he has a smell that he never had before. Maybe im just paranoid though.

Any advice at all would be a huge help. :banghead:

Im not sure if that was a fresh one or I missed cleaning it from last time but im gonna take note the next time he goes. Bath times bumped up for sure to see if that helps.

Thanks for the advice!

What are you basking temps like? Do you give him enough time to bask after eating (at least 2 hours)? It sounds to me like he might have some impaction. Also, how many bugs are you currently feeding him a week, and how much greens does he eat every day?

Aww your profile picture is precious ❤️‍🩹
Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
The head tilt tho! Aaaahhh
