Hello... Our three year old Dragon moves her head similiar to a Bobble Head when she moves. I thought it was just her for we have another male the same age but recently she also seems to be having issues with her balance when moving to different areas of her tank and she is having depth of field issues when eating.
She has a great appetite and no twtiching as in MBD...her temps are perfect and has a new Reptisun 10 bulb?? I supliment vit and Calcium...she appears compleatly normal otherwise but I drew more concerned when I watched her eating today. Thought maybe it was a sight issue or equlibrium? She goes for crickets but isn't actually sure where they are? She does kind of a sweep to catch them. She also misjudged her bowl when she was eating her greens today. She is still active and was great today when I took her out - no obvious issue getting around or bumping into things that I would think would happen if it was her vision but I am still concerned. Is there anyone that has experienced something similar or has any advice? I want to make sure to intervine before it gets worse or fix a problem if there is something I am doing wrong.
Thank you - Nicolle
Drake was having issues with balance when she woke up from brumation. When she would walk, she would stagger like she was drunk! I'm not sure what's wrong with your dragon. Is she pooping ok?
Her bowel movements have all been normal...she hates to go in her enclosure so she gets bathed every two to three days and goes then. I didn't think parasites would cause these issues for she is eating great and acting normal otherwise but maybe I am wrong?????
Unfortunately it sounds like MBD... I'm beardie sitting right now for a friend and he's just been diagnosed with a calcium deficiency and he has the same symptoms..
