Lighting help with non-standard enclosure

Hi,
I am working on getting my setup together for a Rankins. I have a 36x24x18 from Symton. Its the same materials a the Dubia.com enclosures. I have read that the mesh will block 40% of the UV. I have a 24 inch Exoterra t5 hood I plan to use with an arcadia bulb. Should I go with the 12% or the 14% given the enclosure is only 18 inches tall, and what would an appropriate basking distance be?

12% for a 18 inch tall tank -- 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor piece

No inside - screens will block 30% of rays unless the screen is a wide hole type it can sit on top distance 8-10 inches-

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. We will shoot for a 12% at 8-10 inches.
