Hey everyone! I am finally getting my beardie a 4x2x2 and I am sooo excited! Currently, I have a 40 gallon which is obviously a big increase so I think I need some new lights, so could anyone help me out with this please?
Current lights:
UVB: reptisun 22in 10.0 UVB
heat lamps: I am not sure what brand they are but they are kind of small bulbs so I have to use a 150 watt and a 100 watt in order to get to high enough temperatures on the warm side of her cage
I have never really been happy with the heat lamps so any better suggestions? They are currently in the flukers 5.5-inch dome so should I change to the 10 in?
For the UVB, what length should I go with? and what are some good holders/ reflectors for that length?
thanks everyone! I want the new cage to be as perfect as it can be!
I use a Zoo Med 24" w/ my 4x2x2 and a Exo Terra 150 watt basking bulb -- at this time I am currently using another 75 watt as well - I usually leave my CHE on all winter 24/7 this year I am not doing that so I am thinking this is why the extra basking bulb - you can upgrade the UVB to a 24" if you want to I dont recommend the full length of the tank -- also some others on here use halogen lights but those are going to be trial and error -- the basking temps are going to vary on the room temp - if your tank is in a warm room it will effect those temps in the tank along w/ cold room as well -- my UVB is inside the tank and the basking bulbs and CHE are on top of the screen

Flukers 8.5 for the 150 watt and Flukers 5.5 I think for the 75 watt and the Exo Terra I have not had a issue burning out so quickly but the Zoo Med Repti Basking Spot I have had issues w/ -- UVB hood is the Zoo Med --
