Let's Try This Again - Pics

Hi All!

My last attempt at starting a new thread didn't work so well. 2010 was a horrible year for me and I just didn't have the energy to keep up. New year, new attempt. Let's see how it goes

First off, let me say how much I have missed my BD.org family. At one time it was a constant and I feel so removed. I'm hoping to get back up to speed quickly so I can interact with everyone as I used to.

I do have a few pics of the "kids". I took them at Christmas time. They are all doing well. Not sleeping as much as I thought they would considering the temp outside is -10 (feels like -25 with the wind chill :? ). If anyone ever wants to gain new appreciation for somewhere they used to live, living in North Dakota can help you with that.

Miss Calliope... I think she has stopped growing. She will be two in May. Not very big.

"Are all of these for me??"

Hercules... STILL neurotic. He still hasn't made peace with the dryer yet. It still sets him off.
079.jpg

"Seriously, Mom... why do you make me do these things??"
080.jpg

And Nero.... still funny, still nosy.
082.jpg

"I'm smilin' Ma! Did ya get it, did ya get it?"
081.jpg

That's it for now. Gotta go get ready for work..

Glad to be back.

Bad Mommy! Baaaaaaad Mommy!

I forgot to mention that Miss Calliope turned 2 on May 1st.

Here's my pretty girl with her stuffy (yes, that is the same one she had when she was an itty-bitty beardie :D )

She has got to be the laziest beardie ever... quite the diva

Oh Robin, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I know that had to be a complete shock.

Robin, I'm sorry to hear about your father. I know how it hurts. I lost my dad, it will be 6 years on July 1st of this year. I still miss him. I'm more fortunate you you in one way, my dad was 75 when he died, my mother is still healthy and doing good, she will be 80 on July 21st. I still have days that I say "I miss you, Dad". I was a daddy's girl growing up. It doesn't matter how old you are when they die, it's still too soon.

Aw, so sorry about your dad. :( Words seem to come in cliches. But truely he is in a better place and free from pain. I can't imagine how you must feel, losing your dad and waiting on your mom. :( My prayers go out for you and your family.

Happy Birthday to dear Calliope! :blob8: :blob5:

We have had a surprise. Ramoth is a boy! You can guess how we found out! :laughing6: Check out the thread if you find time. Allison and Ramoth, under Beardie Tales.

Thanks everyone. I too was a Daddy's girl and I miss him so much.

I thought I would share the last photo taken of him while he was alive. He had gone to Kansas City and was able to meet his great-granddaughters.

This is him and the youngest, Arianna Kathleen

I'm glad I have this.....

OK... since the IS a beardie website I guess I should at least post a few of some, oh... I don't know.... beardies

It's bath day!!!!
Miss Calliope. She has never really grown into those jowls of hers

Sweet girl :love5: (btw... I know it appears that her tail is near the stove... be assured she is perfectly safe :) )

Here is Nero after I had to give him the "bidet" experience with the sprayer. Apparently poop isn't something to fear anymore. Wearing it is much more fun :bleick: :bleick:

I can always tell when my handsome boy is happy. The orange in him is outrageous.

And last but certainly not least... neurotic Hercules.

What!?! What!?! I pooped mom! Let me out!
05-05-11004.jpg

He flopped around like a fish for at least 15 minutes. Little does he know that he splashed enough water on the floor to assist momma with the mopping :laughing6: What a helper! He was definitely NOT happy by the time I got him out. His beard was the blackest I have ever seen

I will be so glad when it warms up enough to take them outside....

That's a good pic of your dad with great grand child. Those beardies sure are funny when they try to get out of the bath, or swim right through the water container.

Your babies are looking great!

What a priceless photo...
I'm glad that you have it too. It makes me happy Robin that it gives you some comfort during this painful time.

Hugs!

The crew looks great!

Calliope does have a nice looking jowl.
The boys are handsome as ever...it's great to see everyone's wake faces. :)

Beware of the weather.... We were having the wackiest weather here in Cali for Spring...highs in the 50's and low 60's, still in the 40's at night. Then all of a sudden about 3 or 4 days ago it decided to be Summer not Spring... 96* yesterday.

Little warm for me, but the beardies loved it.
My favorite season is Spring for it's warm days and crisp mornings...not to hot, not to cold....we didn't get one this year. :( No subtle warm up to the blazing heat.

Glad to have you back... :)

I'm not sure if we are even going to get Spring this year, Barb. The official start of summer is next month and we had snow on April 30 / May 1

While I am looking forward to the warmer weather of summer, I am not looking forward to the humidity. It is definitely not easy to regulate temps and humidity when it gets to be 80 degrees and 100% humidity :banghead:

Barb, we've had similar weather the last month or more. It's in the high 70's some days/weeks, then up to the 80's - mid to high-, then the last couple of days, it's been at 90 or 91. I just wish it would make up it's mind.

Hi Robin!

I finally made my way over to your thread. :D I am so very sorry to hear the news of your father's passing. I understand that pain all too well. I too lost my father to cancer(5 yrs ago). I hope with time the pain of losing him will pass. Cherish the wonderful memories you have of being "Daddy's Little Girl", these will stay with you forever.

Your kiddos look great! They have all gotten so big! Calliope looks so sweet and I love her little jowls, LOL... and how dare you allow her tail to get so close to the stove  :p
Nero is still quite the handsome fella. So he likes the bidet effect, huh?! Tell him that a poopy dragon is so not attractive to the opposite sex... or you for that matter, LOL
I see nothing has changed with "Jerky Herky". Still a little wild man.

Hope all is well with you and Tony.

(HUGS)

Glad to see you finally found me Dawn

I'm sure time will heal the hurt, but I still can't believe he's gone. I can still vividly remember the coversations we had the week before he passed. Who knew then that they would be the last :(

Calliope is currently in a full body shed. She definitely does not make shedding attractive :? And as far as the stove goes... Lizard Tail soup anyone??

Nero is still my nosey guy. But he is still the only one who really acknowledges my presence when I come into their room. He can be chill as he wants but when I go in there UP pops his little head and if he could yell "MOMMA!" I seriously think he would

Herk is definitely still a jerk. At least he's consistent and it's not situational. The only time he really ever shows me any "love" is when he sees the worm tongs headed for his viv. It's a "one and done" kind of thing. "OK, I've gotten what I needed from you, be gone peasant!" That big turd will be 2 next month  I'm sure most everyone can remember when I got him and how tiny he was. Not so much now.

My dragons, my babies, my life.... whatcha gonna do???? :dontknow:
