He/she even slept on the ground last night, he/she always sleeps in the palm tree. I presume he has stayed in that same spot all day while I was at work. He/she seems to lay as deep as he can into the sand and usually has his head down too.
He just got done with his shedding. I bought him a new batch of crickets. He's been having zucchini more than his normal collard or mustard greens. He has also recently been given the food as pictured. I clean and change the water regularly.
Stats:
Age ? I bought him from the pet store maybe a year ago?
20 gal tank
Basking temp about 100-115
Cool side slightly hotter than room temp
Humidity 30-40
Substrate - sand
Diet: crickets, wax worms, zucchini, mustard or collard greens, dried then moistened bearded dragon food.
I do try to vary the veggi and fruit diet when I need to get more. He had a small amount of cherry about a week ago.
In the first pic, I noticed there were some stress marks present (the dark patterns along the belly and beard). While stress marks are perfectly normal in young beardies, especially after they have been out of the enclosure or doing something new, they can also be a sign of illness. Does he have stress marks very often?
How are you measuring your temps? What kinds of bulbs are you using? Do you have a UV bulb?
Run your fingers along his belly. Are there any hard lumps toward his lower abdomen?
If you could tell us a bit more about what kinds of lights and heat elements you use, that would be very helpful.
