I fed my beardie a horn worm about a month ago and he still hasnt pooped! He is brumation and only gets up in the morning to see what im up to. Doesnt have strange behaviour. Sometimes ill take him out and hes just sleep next to me for hours. Im just worried the food will rot in his stomach. Ive tried methods to get him to poop but not much has helped. Any reassurance would be great. Id like to test him for parasites but I cant since he hasnt pooped lol. But ive basically ruled out parasites since hes hes not nasty at all and no black beard and obviously no diarreha. I know testing is the only way to know but he really seems okay and ive been stressing over this the last month constant looking for symptoms, and hes just as lovely just lazy.

Hi there,

Has he already started brumating? If so and it's true brumation just leave him be. If he needs to expel the contents of his GI track he will do so.

I know it's hard and worrisome, but they have been surviving just fine for millennia without our intervention :).

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
