I’ve got 2 beardies, 5 and 6 months old and I’ll be leaving to go camping over the weekend from Friday night to Monday afternoon. How do y’all prepare for leaving your beardies for an extended period of time? Their lights are on a timer so I’m not worried about that aspect. Will they be ok not being fed? This will be my first time leaving them for a long period of time and wanting ideas on how y’all care for them while being gone.
First are they housed together???? If so that is not a good thing ----- dragons are territorial and will fight and it can come on very sudden and you may come back w/ one dead or very injured ------------- just throwing that out there---- you can leave a big salad for each of them and if you have some BSFL or dubia roaches leave them in a glass bowl they cant get out of ---- the BSFL and dubias are staple feeders and leaving in a bowl is easy - one they cant get out of and the dragons can eat when they want --- in the meantime if they are housed together I would not leave them that way w / no one around and get them separated before you leave--- they need their own tanks for the best health --- males will fight --- male / female the male will want to breed constantly stressing her out and two females one will be dominant and take over the basking areas food etc making the other suffer and get really sick

Thank you for the input. And no they are not housed together, their tanks are side by side on the wall with blue poster board covering the sides so they can’t see each other.
I agree, 2 days on their own at that age is no problem . Just leave the salad and possibly bugs if you like but they would do fine with just salad. Lights on timers and all should be fine.
