Hey Guys. About the last 2 months I have been taking out my BD and putting him in a separate container for his feedings of Dubias. Yesterday I purchased a dual sided cat food/water dish and I put dubia in one side and have fed him in his tank. The dubia cannot climb out and its really alot easier. If he doesnt eat all of them I dont need to worry about getting out the few extra every morning, correct? I can leave them in there then he can go eat them anytime he wants during the day? Seems fine to me but just want to check. Thanks.
Dubias are pretty much safe as far as biting your bearded dragon. They will look for a place to hide though thats the only bad thing. You will wake up and think he ate them all and then you go to clean the viv and bam you have a bunch of dubias that hid everywhere. They could iritate the dragon by crawling on him while he sleeps. Plus you don't want him eating when it's lights out. He needs a digestion period after eating with the basking light on.
Thanks for the quick reply. I was referring to leaving them in the cat food dish that they cannot crawl out of though during the day. I will take them out at night but I would like to dump some in the dish and not have to worry about taking them out since the sides of the dish are too slick for them to climb out of.
