My beardie is being babysat by some housesitters (who are new to lizards but have been very good! Read lots of books and were great with her before I left) So I'm not with Mort right now and they sent me this photo.
Red area on her chin. Now I *suspect* it is baby food or something (her morning crickets get dipped in babyfood because she won't eat any fruit/veg that isn't green otherwise) but just in case someone here recognises it as different.
She's been emailing me every day so it must have appeared in the last 24 hrs.
She's 7 months old.
4' wood viv with glass door.
Night heat lamp
100W basking light (not ceramic but can't remember make, just a regular bulb)
36" Reptisun 10 T8 tube across back.
Basking spot hovers around 110F, cool end of viv 75-80F
Eats crickets, locusts, likes salad (mixed salad and collard greens), pumpkin/prune baby foods
Actively chases food, runs around lounge a couple times a day - basically active.
Poops every 2-3 days.
Bathed every 2-3 days.
Lizard sitters say it isn't sore, she doesn't notice it, and she's active as usual.
oh - substrate is slate tile, cooler side has some repticarpet but mainly because she doesn't sit over there and it helps keep that end cooler.
The rest of her colouring in this pic is normal for when she's nice and warm. (looks like she might start to shed top of her face, which wouldn't surprise me)
lol, great reply. That's sort what I said (as I talked to Mort's pic on the computer screen). You tend to have have really knowledgeable answers so that makes me feel much better!
