I recently lost my beloved Elvis, suddenly. He would have been 5 yrs old in June.
The only thing the necropsy showed was 1 kidney had some calcification.
Temps and lights were great. He was always active. Suddenly blackbearded, wouldn't eat, and passed away.
Does anyone have any ideas why a kidney would calcify. He was 1 of 10 dragons, from the same breeder. 1 of the other dragons died of kidney disease at 3.
I wanted to upload a picture, but I don't know how.
I am so sorry you lost Elvis, good grief. Bless him. How old was he?
I am not really sure why one kidney would calcify while the other one didn't. Were his
calcium levels normal, or too high? Did they check his parathyroid gland?
Do you have a copy of the blood work?
