Kai got a Jungle Dawn LED and a new tree today

I think he likes it...hope so. Here is the before and after:

Well, it definitely perked Kai up! But Im almost thonking of getting another and daisy chaining them for more coverage!

It's a good idea, but provide a place where Kai can take a nap so that the bright light doesn't bother him.
I don't mean the hide but the gradient of light outside the hide

Oh ok, maybe Ill just keep the one then. That cave he has now is so deep he can go way inside and be in total darkness. It is a little shadowy by the trees, not that visible in the pic, but one tree is in the middle and one on the cool side. He really likes to sleep in the cave sometimes, other times in or on the tree.

I am really horrible at placing decor...I way overthink it. Too much uvb, not enough? (Better now that I have the Solarmeter) What if he falls? Can he reach it? Is it big enough? Too big? Doesnt help that he is a huge long dragon and I really shouldve gotten a 6x2x2 for him in retrospect.

I'm the same. And I don't think it's bad, it allows us to improve!

Sweet! It's funny how the LED makes the basking bulb look less intense; i'm sure it's just an effect of the camera.

You can really tell the difference in lighting throughout the rest of the tank.
