Juvenile beardie Louie

Hey there I am new to this group ! Hey all beardie lovers .
My beardies name is Louie and I adopted him from petco almost 2 months ago .
My concern is that he was eating fine with crickets and his greens which was collard greens and carrots . He doesn’t like any bell peppers or cucumbers or anything on his salad .
I tried Dubias and he ate them one time in his tank and won’t eat them now . He actually isn’t eating anything all of a sudden not even salads . It’s been 6 days of barely eating . He is still pooping and peeing . More pee than poo . I give him baths every other night and he drinks his water in the bath . I mist him daily . He still basks and his temps are 102-105 hot side is 92 and cool is 76 . I just don’t know what else to do . Any suggestions I greatly appreciate!

Oh, cryptosporidia ? Hope he responds well to the meds. and you can get some nutrition in him during his treatment !

Ohhh, the cystocoisporoa IS a type of coccidia. I had never heard of that variant. It says that it is low, a +1 which many vets wouldn't treat for.
Pinworms are moderate-almost high so they will treat that and Louie should respond well.

How is Louie doing ? What meds. is he on and has he taken any food, live or syringe fed ? Wishing all the best for the little guy. I doubt he vet would put him on any meds for the coccidia being at only +1.

Update on Louie .. he isn’t eating on his own , I’ve had to syringe feed him everyday , he still doesn’t seem to much better . He drinks his water everyday when I put him in the bath . I did get some critical care and mixed in his meds . I do the critical care 3x a day . I’m going to do a mix today with organic sweet potato baby food and chicken baby food and his greens and see if that will put some weight on him . He does move around his tank some days but mostly just basks still .

Yes the vet did give me meds for both parasites . The pinworm was only one dose and done and this other one is for 21 days .

That's odd, usually pinworm treatment is for at least a few days or a week with panacur [ fenbendazole ]

What meds. is Louie taking for 21 days for coccidia ? That's a very long harsh treatment for a 1+ count .

I will check the name when I get home , I’m at work now and yes I thought it seemed like a long time to take .

O.K. I'm thinking possibly Albon, sometimes it's give every 3 days for a couple of weeks so maybe that's what it is. Ponazuril or toltrazuril are also sometimes used for just a few days rather than weeks.

Awe thank you . I’m still syringe feeding him . He still won’t eat on his own . I’m not sure how to get him back to doing that now that he’s used to me feeding him . Other than that he seems to be ok . I have noticed he has been darker the last few days , idk if he’s stressed by something . His temps are fine so not sure .

Yes he has def gained weight since I’ve been feeding him . He will not touch any food on his own , no bugs no greens . I feed him a mix of organic sweet potato baby food organic squash , arugula , calcium powder and multivitamin , carrots all mixed together and use the syringe . I also do the repashy some days and the critical care to mix it up for him . I’ll have to post pics tomorrow he’s sleeping at the moment .
