sitting here, only light on is the puter screen, holding one of my beardies.
he's about 11, getting thin and i think is blind. he smells food but doesn't dive for it any more. he began falling off his ramp today and the first time i giggled but not any more.
this little guy has been a bigger part of my life than even i realized. i promise to keep his safe, warm and fed until he just wants to sleep.
jaz46,
I'm so sorry to hear that! You have taken such good care of him for him to have reached 11 years old. He's a lucky beardie to have you for his keeper.
I'm sure he knows how much he is loved and how much he means to you.
Hugs and Cuddles and Comfort for you and your little guy!
Amanda
Thank you all for your responses. He and his buddy ( who is also 11 ) are sitting together staring..who knows what I like to think its the snow but I really don't think Clyde see's. Do beardies get cataracts? Can't see why they wouldn't lose eye sight or any other faculties as they age..
He seems happy tonight. Who knows..he might get to "see" his next dandelion yet!
