I just got a male adult bearded a day ago and he mostly just baskss and moves from time to time and eats a little amount, I'm not sure what signs to look out for as a bad thing. He lays down with his eyes closed and flat around evening im not sure if he's tired but that's what he's doing now. I need to know what to expect in the next couple days and waht to do.

Your UVB and surface basking temps must be on par to keep a healthy dragon - please go over all the lighting your using and how your getting your surface basking temps- stick on gauges are inaccurate - NO coils for a UVB they would be in a dome fixture - NO off white or yellowish NO daytime bulbs and NO colored bulbs please -- clear solid bright white for a basking bulb

Hi Zoey, can you post a few pictures of Murphy and his enclosure ? That can be a start.

Karrie, give a new person a chance to feel more welcome before all the recommendations in bold, lol.

Hello,

Welcome to the forum here! We all love pictures, so, feel free to post pictures in the Photo Expressions
area, or the Introductions area, or here if you would like.
They love to bask & stay warm. We are all happy to review your setup also, when you are ready.

It sounds like your bearded dragon is still adjusting to his new environment, which is completely normal. Mild appetite loss and limited movement can happen during this period. Keep his basking temps between 95-105°F, ensure he has a proper UVB light, and offer fresh greens and insects.

Welcome to the forum and congrats to your new dragon :)
This all sounds normal at this stage, give him some time. He should be basking and eating, if he stops one of those two there is something going on....

Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
