Jumping from high places?

My juvenile beardie, Marxie, seems to be a little daredevil, so to speak. I recently built a shelf to put in his vivarium so he could get closer to his heat source. I gave him a couple different spots to climb up and down, but he seems to like to jump off of the side onto the ground. I havent seen him hit the glass or anything yet, but I didn't want to take any chances of him injuring himself. I removed the shelf.

Do any of your beardies do things like that? Will he grow out of this?

Yep, this is completely normal, my little guy does it all the time. He leaps from his hammock to the plants below. The little ones seem to think they can fly, but they grow out of it.

Mine jumps off my bed to the floor all the time, and she's totally fine. A small drop from a shelf to the floor in your viv won't hurt em.
